Medical Services

The Medical Service is in this context of general organization one of the Police support Units. Recently, Rwanda joined the Eastern African Community and consequently, the National Police will soon become a member of the East Africa Police Organization.

It is clear that this regional integration brings opportunities but also poses challenges to our young police Institution . Rwanda National police must thrive, bring innovation and become more specialized and professional in order to cope with this new challenging but promising situation.

It is therefore, within the context of that positive general transformation that its medical unit moved fast, took many steps ahead and adopted a comprehensive strategic plan that aims at providing holistic package of health services not only to the National Police but also and mainly to the Rwandan Community as whole.

The medical services unit in the Rwanda National Police consists of a number of departments that offers a variety of services, ranging from providing clinical care to clinical psychology counselling, epidemiological surveillance, forensic medical practice and emergency rescue missions.
