Police FC breezes past La Jeunesse to top the league

La jeunesse goal keeper watches the ball as it hits the net

Police FC yesterday stormed to the top of the National Primus League after beating La Jeunesse FC two goals to nil.

It took Police FC four minutes into the game to score through its talismanic captain Meddy Kagere who beat two la Jeunesse defenders, rounding of the keeper before shooting into an empty net.

Kagere doubled Police FC lead fifteen minutes into the second half through a penalty after Karim Gashugi was fouled in the 18 yard box.

The goal left its opponents chasing shadows. His second goal of the match took his tally to six goals so far this season and top scorer.

The win propelled the police side to the top of the league on goal difference as it is on level points (15) with Etincelles.

Police will be looking to capitalize on its current form next Saturday as it takes on AS Kigali at Mumena Stadium.
