Liberian delegation visit RNP for peer review

The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel, Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza, on Wednesday, February 15, received a delegation from Liberia, at the Rwanda National Police (RNP) General Headquarters at Kacyiru.

Over 200 complete driving course


The second joint security driving course bringing together 202 Police and military personnel concluded on Monday, February 13, at the Police Training School (PTS) Gishari in Rwamagana District.

The pass-out of four-month advanced driving course for 115 Police officers and 87 military personnel, was presided over by the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Administration and Personnel Jeanne Chantal Ujeneza.  Read more...

Private security personnel urged on professionalism

Private Security companies were urged to aim for professional services and to add value to the country's safety and security.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Denis Basabose, the Commissioner for Infrastructure Security and Private Security Providers (ISPSP) at Rwanda National Police (RNP), made the call on Monday, February 13, while presiding over the pass-out of 87 new security personnel of GardaWorld security firm, in Gatenga Sector, Kicukiro District.  Read more...

KARONGI: Two held over illegal mining


Police and other security organs in Karongi District arrested on Saturday, February 18, two people, who were allegedly conducting illegal mining activities.

Police bust producers of illicit gin in Gasabo


Three people, who were producing and supplying Kanyanga, an illicit gin, were arrested in separate security operations conducted in the sectors of Ndera and Rusororo in Gasabo District, on Friday, February 17.

Chief Inspector of Police (CIP) Sylvestre Twajamahoro, the Police spokesperson for the City of Kigali said that of the suspects were caught in the act producing the illicit gin.  Read more...

NYAMAGABE: Police recovers money stolen by house-help


Police in Nyamagabe District recovered money amounting to Frw400, 000 and other valuables, which were stolen recently in City of Kigali.

The money and a smartphone, among other valuables, were recovered from the prime suspect on Tuesday, February 14, who was arrested in Tare Sector, Gasarenda Cell in Kagarama Village.  Read more...
