The event brought together local government leaders, senior security officers, course participants, and their families to celebrate the successful completion of the one-year programme ahead of the officers' graduation.

The specialized training brought together 20 police officers from nine member states of the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF).

The 18th intake comprised 136 officers from RNP, five from RIB, five from RCS, and four from NISS.

The high-level meeting brought together Chiefs of Police, Permanent Secretaries, National Focal Point (NFP) Coordinators on SALW, and other police representatives from RECSA member states.

The agreement was signed at the RNP General Headquarters in Kacyiru by Rwanda’s Commissioner General of Police (IGP) CG Felix Namuhoranye and his visiting counterpart of Kenya Police Service, Douglas Kanja Kirocho.
