RNP reassures security during Expo 2022

Rwanda National Police (RNP) has reassured the public of security during the ongoing 25th Rwanda International Trade Fair.

RNP spokesperson, Commissioner of Police (CP) John Bosco Kabera, while speaking during the official visit and media briefing at Gikondo Expo Ground on Thursday, August 4, said that everyone should feel safe and secure while going about their businesses.

"This is the 25th international trade fair in Rwanda and this is because of the existing security, which will continue to be maintained," CP Kabera said.



He added that in order to swiftly respond to unforeseen circumstances or emergencies, the Fire and Rescue Brigade has stationed its firefighting trucks at the expo.

In case of any security concerns, CP Kabera urged the public to call the Police on 0788311047.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Jean-Chrysostome Ngabitsinze, who was the Guest of Honour, said that the trade fair is a good opportunity for business growth.

?The trade fair brings together exhibitors from around the world with various products; it's an opportunity to share experiences and make innovations in businesses as it has been the case over the last 25 years," said Minister Ngabitsinze.



He added that more innovations are being considered especially in the field of Information Technology (IT) to make it more digitalised to assist exhibitors.

Robert Bapfakurera, the PSF chaitrman said the trade fair is a platform for different investors and companies to meet and further advertise their products.

Over 480 exhibitors registered to participate in this year's expo.
