Rwanda crowned overall winner of EAPCCO Games
Rwanda won nine out of 13 sports disciplines to emerge the overall winner of the 4th edition of the Eastern Africa Police Chiefs Cooperation Organization (EAPCCO) Games, which concluded on Monday, March 27, in Kigali.
The competition held under the theme Fostering Police cooperation to fight transnational organized crimes through sports” brought together eight out of 14 EAPCCO member countries.
During the week-long interforce competitions, Rwanda won gold in football, volleyball, handball and basketball.
Other categories won by Rwanda include, beach volleyball, taekwondo, boxing, karate and shooting. Read more
Kepler College students visit Rwanda National Police on study tour
Fifty students of Kinyinya-based Kepler College visited Rwanda National Police (RNP) on Friday, March 31, as part of their 'Kepler Success Week' study tour.
Their visit was particularly to understand what the force does, its proactive approaches in addressing policing challenges and how the students can prepare themselves to join the force. Read more

The 4th edition of the EAPCCO Games climaxed in Kigali on Monday, March, 27, after an electrifying week-long of sports activities full of fun, networking, interactions, bonding and strengthening cooperation against transnational organized crimes.
Eight countries with 83 men and women teams competed in 13 sports categories; football, basketball, handball, volleyball, netball, beach volleyball, shooting, boxing, karate, athletics, darts, judo and taekwondo.
Rwanda was the overall winner of the multi-sports competition after sweeping nine out of 13 sports disciplines, as Kenya and Uganda followed in that order. Read more

NGOMA: Taxi-moto operator arrested with forged driver's license
A 21-year old taxi-moto operator was arrested on Tuesday, March 28, in Rukumberi sector of Ngoma District after he was found using a forged driver's license.
He was arrested in Rugenda I village, Rubona cell by traffic officers, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) René Irere, the spokesperson for traffic and road safety department, said. Read more
