Rwanda National Police bids farewell to 74 retiring officers

The Rwanda National Police (RNP) on Friday, December 12, held a send-off ceremony at the General Headquarters in Kacyiru, to honour 74 police officers, who retired from active service.

UN pre-deployment course wraps up in Rwanda, enhancing global peacekeeping capacity

The UN pre-deployment peacekeeping course for Police and military contributing countries concluded on Thursday, December 11, in Rwanda.

The 11-day Core Pre-Deployment Training Materials (CPTM) Training of Trainers (ToT) course conducted at the Police Training School (PTS) Gishari in Rwamagana District, equipped participants with essential knowledge and instructional skills to prepare fellow officers for deployment to peacekeeping missions.  Read More... 

Over 170 officers complete Police Station Commanders course at CTTC Mayange

Some 177 officers from the Rwanda National Police (RNP) and the Liberia National Police (LNP), on Friday, December 12, completed the Police Station Commanders Course (PSCC) at the Counter Terrorism Training Centre (CTTC) Mayange in Bugesera District.

The cohort intake 01/25, included 10 officers from Liberia, marking an important step in strengthening bilateral policing cooperation. Read More... 

Rwanda National Police hosts Zambian delegation for knowledge exchange on smart traffic and road safety management

The Rwanda National Police (RNP) on Thursday, December 11, welcomed a 13-member delegation from Zambia at the General Headquarters in Kacyiru, for a knowledge-sharing engagement on smart policing, road safety, and integrated traffic management systems.

During the briefing session, the delegation received an in-depth presentation on Rwanda’s proactive enforcement, public awareness, technology integration (CCTV, and continuous infrastructure improvement, aiming to reduce fatalities and enhance urban mobility.  Read More...
