The Rwanda National Police Handball Club won the East and Central Africa Handball Federation (ECAHF) Championship after defeating Kenya’s NCPB Cereals HC 34–28 in the final.
The men’s tournament, held from December 28, 2025, to January 1, 2026, at the Old Kampala Arena in Uganda, featured six top clubs from across the region competing for the 43rd edition of the championship.
Rwanda Police HC played four matches and, despite a group-stage loss to Kenya’s NCPB, bounced back by overpowering Police Uganda HC 35–25 in the group stages and the Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) HC 32–21 in the semifinals to reach the final.

In the final match against defending champions NCPB Cereals, Rwanda Police HC dominated the game with a strong defense, fast attacks, and excellent goalkeeping, securing a 34–28 victory.
The victory marks Rwanda Police HC’s fifth ECAHF title in eight appearances, confirming their consistency and dominance in regional handball.
Individual awards also went to the Rwanda Police HC players. Kubwimana Emmanuel was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), while Mbesutunguwe Samuel finished as the top scorer.
By lifting the trophy in Kampala, Rwanda Police HC starts the year on a high note and once again puts Rwandan handball firmly on the regional stage.
